Commencing October 2020

The purpose of the postgraduate program is the training of teachers, social workers, psychologists, kindergarten teachers, nurses, mental health professionals etc., in the field of child and adolescent mental health, drug abuse and addictions, mainly through a holistic approach in mental health. At the end of the program, participants are expected to have acquired the empirical and theoretical background, that is, applied clinical knowledge and practice to provide a necessary support system for individuals recovering from drug and alcohol issues, internet addictions, and other behavioral issues.

The program has been designed to provide students with experiences in a variety of fieldwork settings, in order to understand the full scope of mental health practice and have real-life opportunities for the application of the content learned in the classroom. Therefore, in the first two semesters of the first year, postgraduate students will have all coursework on campus, with no scheduled fieldwork. However, in the third semester, students participate in ‘300 hours’ fieldwork experiences - in cooperation with local mental health agencies, addiction treatment and recovery centers in western Greece – and are expected to complete their dissertation. The duration of the program is one and a half years (3 semesters) and each year 23 students per maximum are enrolled. Tuition fees  = 2.400 euros in total.
