The program aims to:

  • train students in advanced and specialized subjects in Electronics, with emphasis on the Design and Development of Integrated Circuits and Systems, Computer Vision, Machine Learning, Pattern Recognition, Information Fusion,
  • train students in Atmospheric Physics and Atmospheric Environment, Meteorology, Climatology, Satellite Remote Sensing, Weather Forecasting, Climate Change,
  • familiarize with modern technologies, promote scientific excellence and research, cultivation and development of leadership capabilities,
  • broaden and promote theoretical and applied knowledge to the subjects of the curriculum of the postgraduate course,
  • develop scientists able to continue in Doctoral studies in relevant scientific fields,
  • develop executive staff with a strong theoretical background and enhanced skills in the subjects of the curriculum, capable to face the challenges of the now days market,
  • supply students with knowledge and research tools enabling them to work as professional executives in positions with increased responsibility in the private sector or even in central government and regional or local government.

The curriculum of the “Postgraduate Studies in Applications of Physics in Atmosphere and Electronics” leads to a Diploma in the following specializations:

  • Electronics - Circuits and Systems
  • Electronics and Information Processing
  • Applied Meteorology and Environmental Physics.

Duration of studies
The time for awarding the Diploma of Postgraduate Studies is three (3) semesters.

Number of students
The number of students admitted per year in each of the three specializations cannot exceed ten (10).

There are no fees required for Postgraduate Studies in Applications of Physics in Atmosphere and Electronics. The cost is covered partially by the Hellenic State and partially by the competitive research grants of the faculty members of the program.
