Βιογραφικά ομιλητών:

Gerasimos Fergadiotis, Ph.D., CCC-SLP is a Professor in the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences at Portland State University. Dr. Fergadiotis’ research, which is currently funded by NIH/NIDCD (1R01DC015999, 1R01DC018813), is focused on developing psychometric applications for quantifying cognitive deficits in people with communication disorders. Specifically, the overarching goal of his research is to develop a computer adaptive test to assist professionals with the accurate diagnosis of word retrieval deficits in people with aphasia. He collaborates closely with a team of clinical researchers, psychometricians, statisticians, and computer scientists from the Pittsburgh VA Medical Center and Oregon Health and Science University. 

Maria Kapantzoglou, Ph.D., CCC-SLP, is an associate professor in the department of Speech and Hearing Sciences, at Portland State University. She is the director of the Bilingual Research Lab. Her research focuses on evaluating and developing assessment tools to accurately differentiate bilingual children with language disorders from typically developing peers. She has a Master in Measurement, Statistics and Methodological Study, and she has worked in federally funded projects to develop culturally and linguistically appropriate assessment tools for Spanish-English speaking children. She has worked with bilingual children in four different countries and in three languages: English, Spanish and Greek.
