Σχετικά με τον ομιλητή: Dimitris Agrafiotis, PhD, FRSC, is Chief Digital Officer at Generate Biomedicines, where he leads multidisciplinary teams across technology, data science, lab automation, and digital transformation to help advance the company’s AI-powered technology platform and therapeutic portfolio. Dr. Agrafiotis received his BS in chemistry from the University of Patras and PhD in theoretical chemistry from Imperial College London, and held postdoctoral fellowships at the University of California at Berkeley and Harvard, where he worked with Nobel laureate EJ Corey. Prior to Generate, he spent two years as Vice President at Pfizer Digital, Worldwide Research, Development and Medical, two years as Chief Information Officer at the Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research, six years as Chief Data Officer and Head of Technology Products at Covance, ten years as Vice President for Research & Early Development IT and Informatics at Johnson & Johnson (J&J), ten years as a founding member of 3-Dimensional Pharmaceuticals, a successful biotechnology company that was acquired by J&J in 2003, and three years at Parke-Davis as a Senior Scientist in the computer-aided drug design group. His work is documented in more than 100 peer-reviewed publications and book chapters and 18 US patents. In 2012 he was elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry for his contributions to pharmaceutical research, and in 2016 he was named in Computerworld’s Premier 100 Technology Leaders for his technology leadership and innovative approaches to business challenges.
